VRÁBLE / A tragic work accident occurred on Monday, March 25 in Vráble. The driver (51) lost his life when the truck moved while unloading. A truck crushed a man from Dunajská Streda. In addition to the police, the labor inspectorate is also dealing with the case.
The driver brought wheat to the area, which he dumped from the truck into the silo. At the same time, however, the truck started to move. According to information TV OH the tragedy happened when the driver wanted to get into the truck. The man wanted to quickly get into the cabin to stop the vehicle. So he ran up the stairs. “There was a metal structure on the side of the carriageway, into which the vehicle crashed through the open door, and the victim was pressed between the door and the cabin of the vehicle,” informed Martin Mada, director of the Nitra Labor Inspectorate.
In a short time, the rescuers were on their way to the place, a helicopter also landed here, but they could no longer help the man. “Upon arrival, the unit found that a person had fallen out of the truck. She was hanging over an iron structure and the truck was about 10 meters away,” zoomed in on Martin Fröhlich, HaZZ Vráble intervention commander.
The driver was revived for many minutes. In addition to the police, the labor inspectorate was also headed there. “For as yet unknown reasons, the car started running on its own,” said Jana Šinková, spokeswoman for the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Nitra.
