A series of armed attacks rocked Soavinarivo Imerintsiatosika. On the evening of the day before yesterday, around 9:30 p.m., around fifteen members of a pack of armed bandits committed a series of acts of banditry. Three businesses were attacked, leading to the theft of cash and goods.
From the first merchant, the gang stole a sum estimated at one million ariary as well as all the valuable objects within reach. After finishing with their first victim, the bandits attacked another business, adjacent to the first. This time, they only found a meager sum of forty thousand ariary and also took away the basic necessities they found. After the second attack, the criminals headed towards the home of a third merchant. This time, they had to flee in haste when local residents began to gather in the area. With their loot in hand, the bandits fled, warning local residents that they would return.
