The promise of a festive and sporting weekend was cut short. A requisitioned gymnasium

The Beaugency town hall immediately requisitioned a gymnasium, which the Red Cross equipped with beds and blankets, in order to accommodate the most affected campers. Scalded by this nightmarish night, some left prematurely, while most of the participants had not given up on continuing the party under the close surveillance of the authorities. Météo France’s forecasts finally dampened their hopes. The high risk of storms for the night from Sunday to Monday led the Loiret prefecture to ask the organizers to interrupt their weekend. “The buses are waiting for us in the middle of the afternoon. We will all go home a day early,” regrets Gabriel. “Everyone is obviously disappointed but above all it was important not to expose anyone to danger! »
