Rotterdam influencer Armani L’Goumani is stuck in Morocco due to her controversial participation in an online dating show on YouTube. Her choice of clothing caused a big fuss in Morocco. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers its assistance.
Armani L’Goumani, who grew up in the Netherlands but also has Moroccan nationality, participated in the program “Blind Date by Outfit” on YouTube. In the video she chooses her date based on their clothes. Her choice of a short skirt and the rejection of a candidate who did not have a dog did not go down well with many Moroccan viewers.

The video sparked a firestorm of criticism on social media, with accusations that Armani L’Goumani dressed inappropriately and disrespected Moroccan culture. The Moroccan Ministry of Justice has launched an investigation into the video to assess whether it constitutes incitement to prostitution.
Armani L’Goumani has apologized for the fuss in a TikTok video. She said she did not expect her choice of clothing to offend Moroccans because she grew up in the Netherlands where such clothing choices are normal. She also emphasized that she was wearing shorts under her skirt.
