Security and medical teams in Jordan raided, at dawn on Monday, a residential apartment in the capital, Amman, which had been allocated by those in charge of it to perform cosmetic sessions in an illegal manner and using injections and preparations that were not legally approved in the Kingdom.
In addition, the Director General of the Foundation, Professor Dr. Nizar Mahmoud Mhaidat, explained that those impersonating a dermatologist and plastic surgeon used the apartment as a medical institution to practice cosmetic interventions and treatments and to use injections and preparations that were not duly approved by the institution.
He pointed out that the raid was carried out as part of qualitative monitoring and close follow-up operations that have been ongoing for some time through the pharmacists inspectors in the Control and Inspection Department in the Medicine Directorate.
While Mhidat added, the injections and preparations were confiscated and kept in preparation for their proper destruction, and procedures were initiated to refer those in charge of the apartment to the judiciary to take legal action against them.
He stressed that the institution continues to implement such campaigns and will take the most severe penalties against anyone who dares to harm the health of the Jordanian citizen. (Arabic)
