RAFAH – The Israeli colonial army on Wednesday (8/5/2024) claimed one of its airstrikes killed a Hamas naval commander in the Gaza Strip in a joint operation with the Shin Bet security agency.

Occupying forces hold Hamas Navy Commander Mohammad Ahmed Ali responsible for many attacks on Israeli settlements.

Hamas has not commented on the announcement. According to sources within the movement, Ali was once a member of the Izzudin al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing.

Israel has launched a war against Palestinians in Gaza that has killed or injured more than 113,000 people, most of them children and women.

As famine becomes increasingly likely due to a crippling blockade of the enclave, some 10,000 Palestinians remain missing, presumed dead, under the rubble of their homes and other civilian infrastructure.

The apartheid state of Israel continues to pursue its war aims despite UN Security Council resolutions ordering fighting to cease immediately.

In addition, Israel allegedly ignored the International Court of Justice’s decision demanding action to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
