Cutro Shipwreck Trial to Begin in Italy Amidst Scrutiny of Migrant Rescue Policies
The trial of six Italian Coast guard and customs Police officers accused of negligence and manslaughter in connection with the February 2023 shipwreck off the coast of Cutro, Italy, is scheduled to begin on January 30, 2024, after a postponement due to judge replacements. The Disaster and Initial Response
