Jakarta, Febuary 8, 2026 – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government launched a large-scale cleanup effort, “Jaga Jakarta Bersih” (Keep Jakarta Clean), on Sunday morning, mobilizing 100,000 personnel. This initiative aims to strengthen community cooperation and prepare the capital city for the challenges of the transitional season and the threat of infectious diseases.
“Today, we are all participating in a joint cleanup effort, a presentation of gotong royong (mutual assistance) through the Jaga Jakarta Bersih movement,” said Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, while inspecting the cleanup on Jalan Cempaka Putih Tengah, Central jakarta, on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
focus on Dengue Prevention
The activity follows up on Regional Secretary Instruction Number 2 of 2026. The primary focus is clearing overgrown vegetation and dredging drainage systems to eliminate potential mosquito breeding grounds and prevent the spread of dengue fever (dengue fever).
