Japan Airlines canceled one of the flights. That was after the pilot captain got drunk at a US hotel.

Collect Japan TodaySaturday (27/4/2024), Japan Airlines Co said on Friday that it had recently canceled flights from Dallas to Tokyo.

So, a 49-year-old captain engaged in disturbing behavior while drunk at his hotel, in a US city and received a warning from the local police.

The airline said it decided to cancel Flight 11 to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Wednesday. Because, they need to check his physical and mental status.

However, the airline was unable to find a replacement pilot for the 11.05am departure. JAL assisted 157 passengers to transfer to other flights.

After arriving in Dallas from Haneda on Monday, the captain had dinner with other crew members at a restaurant starting at around 6 p.m. They then continued walking to the party in the lounge of the hotel where they were staying.

A hotel employee asked them to be quiet around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, but the pilot’s remarks and behavior at the time prompted the hotel to call police.

Police questioned him at the hotel and warned him not to cause similar trouble, according to JAL.
