JUDO – OPEN DE SAINT-DENIS

The JC de l’Esca delegation has already been on site since Thursday.

Seventh participation. The Esca Judo Club is fielding six fighters for the 8th edition of the Saint-Denis International Open. The competition which will see the participation of judokas from junior, cadet and senior categories, from the Indian Ocean islands such as Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte and Reunion and also those from the Metropolis, will take place Saturday and Sunday at the regional dojo of Champ- Flowery.

Three of the flag bearers of the Antanimena club are engaged in the cadet category, in this case two boys, Yasun Andrianjafitrimo in the -66kg and Yohan Ravelojaona in the -60kg, and Colline Rabetafika in the -52kg girls. The other three, girls, will be competing in the juniors, namely Miotisoa Andrimifidy and Irianto Andrianjafimalazaray in the -48 kg, and Mihaja Andriantsaramanana in the -63kg.

Already on site since Thursday evening, the delegation is led by the club’s technical manager, Jonathan Razafy Harivony. “This type of outing is an opportunity for our next generation to gain more international experience through exchanges with other judokas in the region,” underlines the technician. After the tournament, representatives from the Big Island will attend an international training course there, from March 11 to 13.
