This experience, he recalls, solidified his commitment to sharing Carnatic music with a global audience.

His daughter-in-law, Kamalaja Rajagopal, captivates audiences as a playback singer. His daughter, Krupaa Lakshmi, shines as both a Carnatic vocalist and a Bharatanatyam dancer. Though, Prasad readily acknowledges the unwavering support of his wife, Usha Prasad. A dedicated musician herself – a student of Madurai GS Mani with a PhD in music – she skillfully managed the home front,allowing him to pursue his passion while raising their children. Her dedication ensured a stable and nurturing environment despite his frequent travels.
