KRK Arrested in Mumbai Following Alleged Firing Incident
Actor and controversial film critic kamaal R Khan, widely known as KRK, has been arrested by mumbai Police in connection with a shooting incident that occurred earlier this month in the Andheri area. The arrest stems from an examination into gunshots discharged towards a residential building inhabited by writer-director Neeraj Kumar Mishra.
Khan was apprehended from his studio Friday night and afterward taken into formal custody after initial questioning. Authorities report that Khan admitted to firing four rounds from his licensed firearm on january 18th. The firearm involved has been confiscated as evidence.
While the motive remains unclear, Khan has reportedly claimed the incident was accidental, stating he was cleaning the weapon and intended to test its functionality. He alleges he aimed towards a mangrove area, believing it to be unoccupied, however, strong winds purportedly deflected a bullet towards a building in the Oshiwara locality.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The building struck is home to both Mishra and model Prateek Baid. Police initially lacked leads but identified Khan as a suspect through technical analysis and further investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and Khan remains in police custody as authorities continue to gather information regarding the circumstances of the incident. Further legal action will be determined based on the findings of the inquiry.
