A daring rescue unfolded Monday evening in Anttola, Mikkeli, as a beloved pet dog was successfully retrieved from a deep ravine. Teh canine companion tumbled approximately 12 meters (nearly 40 feet) into a narrow, 70-centimeter (about 28 inches) wide crevice within the Rakokallio nature reserve.
This area is known for its remarkable glacial-era rock formations, specifically a lengthy and profound chasm stretching for dozens of meters.Fortunately, the dog’s owners immediately contacted emergency services when they realized their furry friend was trapped.
Rescue personnel swiftly responded and skillfully descended into the ravine using ropes.They were able to quickly and safely hoist the dog to safety. Remarkably, despite the significant fall, the dog appeared to have sustained no serious injuries, only a good scare.
