According to Win Sports, one of the primary adjustments involves the early advancement of Matchday 6, which is now slated to run from Friday, August 21, to Sunday, August 23, 2026. This advancement occurs even as select fixtures from Matchday 5 remain unresolved and pending rescheduling.
Matchday 6 action opens on Friday with two opening fixtures: Jaguares facing Boyacá Chicó, and Alianza V. squaring off against Deportivo Pereira. DIMAYOR’s updated framework seeks to clear backlog fixtures step by step, minimizing disruption to the broader tournament structure while ensuring all participating clubs eventually catch up on missed playing time.
