The FBI conducted ​searches at the ​Los Cerritos ranch from Wednesday through Friday. According‍ to court documents, ‌the investigation focused on Jorge Zepeda, who is accused of selling⁢ firearms, cocaine, and fentanyl to a‍ confidential informant⁣ in Washington D.C.⁤ and Virginia since 2024. The affidavit‌ alleges Zepeda claimed to ‌sell up to five firearms per week to suspected ⁣MS-13 gang members.

Authorities reported that ‌one suspect attempted to flee to El Salvador but‍ was apprehended.Three ⁢others were⁣ arrested during alleged drug sales.

Evidence⁢ Recovered

During ‍the search of Los Cerritos, FBI agents examined agricultural‍ areas and a pond, breaking through ice as part of ⁤the⁣ search. ⁢The specific ⁣items recovered have⁣ not been​ publicly disclosed as of this report.

Local Reaction

residents of the Haymarket area expressed concern over ​the ⁣alleged criminal activity. One neighbour, speaking anonymously, stated, “Its not right. If they’re selling that and ther are ⁣families… it’s not right.” another resident commented ​on the‌ disruption of their sense of security, saying, ⁢”you think you’re in a quiet place. ⁣You ⁤don’t know⁣ what’s happening around [you].”
