Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen22, is currently getting ready to represent Sweden in Eurovision song contest.

When Aftonbladet talks to the twins, they have just landed at home in Norway after being around Europe to promote their contribution “Unforgettable”.

– Now we’ve had a taste of this, so now we’re very excited to perform during Eurovision itself, says Marcus Gunnarsen.

But despite the tour, their placement on the odds list sunk. From having been in the top ten for a longer period, they are currently in place fifteen.

– We have never looked at the odds so much. I think Eurovision fans are very analytical, but there are 250 million people watching it on TV so I think people have different opinions. And the fact that we are a little lower on the odds now is probably also because Sweden won last year and has never won two years in a row before and then you don’t think it will happen now either, says Marcus Gunnarsen.

Martinus Gunnarsen: “We focus on us”

Recently, they have done many interviews with media from all over Europe. And it is precisely the question of security and Israel’s participation that takes a lot of focus.

The guys do not want to say outright that they are tired of questions about politics and security, but say that they are happy to talk about other things instead.

– We want Eurovision to be about Eurovision, because it is “United by music” (“united by music”, Eurovision’s slogan eds. note). It should be positive, it should be a party, everyone should come together and it’s a great TV show. Of course we get a lot of questions about security, but we focus on us and we will make Eurovision as good as we can for everyone, says Martinus Gunnarsen.
