Last year’s Latvian vice-champion in motocross in the 125cc class, Markus Kokin, won the “King of the Sands” competition in the MX Juniori class on Saturday in Estonia, but in the evaluation together with the riders of the PRO class, the native of Tukum took 5th place.

In the qualification of his represented junior class, the representative of the “MX Moduls” club, Markus Kokin, although he showed the second best result, he was unbeatable in the final races, crossing the finish line as the first in all three races, which ensured him the 1st place at the end of the competition day.

In the MX Junior competition, Gregors Kūsks from Estonia climbed to the second step of the podium, while Kūsks’ compatriot Romeo Picand was third.

In the overall standings with MX PRO riders, Kokin finished 5th, just behind world-class riders Gerta Krestinov (Estonia), Hari Kullas (Finland), Karel Tilk (Estonia) and Andero Lusbo.

We remind you that on April 28, the new “Magnum” Latvian motocross championship season will be opened with a stage in Aizpute, where Markus Kokin will compete in the MX2 class.
