Alesia, Mora, Laika, and Kiara Join the Casa de Nariño
Abelardo de la Espriella assumed the presidency of Colombia for the 2026–2030 term on August 7. Immediately following his inauguration, he introduced his four canine companions in a video shared on his official TikTok account.
The four dogs—Alesia, Mora, Laika, and Kiara—have officially become the new pets of the Colombian presidential family. They join the administration’s public profile through social media content highlighting the household’s domestic life.
Introducing the Presidential Pack
In the recording released on the platform, de la Espriella introduced each animal individually to viewers.
Alesia, a black Cane Corso, was heavily pregnant at the time of the video’s production. The president stated that he anticipated a litter of between six and seven puppies and intended to keep two of them within the household.
The presentation also featured Mora, a black dog with curly fur; Laika, an intelligent dog adopted by the family; and Kiara, a large brown dog who rounds out the group.
Faithful Companions at the Executive Residence
Describing the animals as an integral part of his household, the president referred to the group collectively during the broadcast.
“Les presento a mi manada: Alesia, Mora, Laika y Kiara,” de la Espriella stated in the publication, describing the group as faithful dogs accompanying him.
The introduction of the four dogs offers a glimpse into the personal routine of the Colombian head of state following the inauguration on August 7, 2026.
Expanding the Household and Digital Strategy
Alesia’s impending litter adds an immediate expansion to the household, with plans already established to retain a pair of the newborns.
