More than 40 billion dirhams raised at the end of May

Capital raised stood at 40.18 billion dirhams (MMDH) at the end of May 2023, against 27.70 billion dirhams during the same period a year earlier, according to the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC).

These liftings concern bond issues (3.2 billion dirhams) and issues of negotiable debt securities – TCN (36.98 billion dirhams), specifies the AMMC in a bulletin on its monthly capital market indicators for the month of May 2023. In May alone, capital raised exceeded 6.64 billion dirhams solely in the form of TCN issues, the same source said.

AMMC indicators also show a 21% year-on-year increase in outstanding securities lending and borrowing transactions to MAD 30.3 billion at the end of May 2023.
