Last week, ZUS announced that the payment of 13 pensions had been completed and the benefit was distributed to all eligible people, i.e. over 8.5 million people. Now the institution is starting to send letters to seniors, which will contain two pieces of information – a forecast regarding the amount of the pension after indexation and a decision on awarding the “thirteenth grade”.

All seniors received their benefits after the March indexation, which amounted to 12.12%. The payment of “thirteen” pensions has also ended, which this year was higher and amounted to PLN 1,000. PLN 780 and PLN 96 gross. “Thirteen” was sent to all people who, as of March 31 this year. were entitled to a pension or other long-term benefit paid by ZUS.

– ZUS started sending letters to seniors. In the coming days and weeks, retirees and pensioners will receive two important decisions from ZUS in one envelope. This will be an indexation decision and a decision to grant the so-called thirteen – said the plant’s spokesman, Paweł Żebrowski. He added that ZUS will send a total of over 8 million letters, and the campaign will end in the second half of May.

As Paweł Żebrowski explained, the first decision will provide the amount of the benefit after the March indexation, as well as the amount of the collected contribution and income tax advance. Importantly, there will also be an amount of the “in-hand” pension.

– ZUS is obliged by law to provide such information to beneficiaries. Indexation decisions will be sent – similarly to previous years – together with the decision on granting an additional annual cash benefit – in one envelope – emphasized Żebrowski.

The second letter concerns the 13th pension, specifically the granting of the benefit and its amount. According to “Fakt”, there is also information about the possibility of appealing against the decision ZUS.

Paweł Żebrowski noted that ZUS will send over 8 million letters. The campaign will end in the second half of May.
