The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, held talks on Friday in Banjul, Gambia, with the Djiboutian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.

During this meeting, held on the sidelines of the work of the 15th session of the Islamic Summit Conference, scheduled for May 4 and 5 in Banjul, the two ministers examined bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen them.

In a statement to the press following these talks, the head of Djiboutian diplomacy indicated that this “cordial” meeting with his Moroccan counterpart was an opportunity to examine the strong relations between the two countries and the means to consolidate them further.

This interview took place in the presence of Mohamed Methqal, ambassador, director general of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) and Dya-Eddine Saïd Bamakhrama and Mohamed Douhour Hersi, respectively ambassador of Djibouti to the OIC and Ambassador of Djibouti to Morocco.

Mr. Bourita had previously had a series of meetings with several of his counterparts participating in the Islamic summit which opens Saturday in the Gambian capital.

His talks with the heads of diplomacy of Yemen, Niger, Brunei, Gabon, Mali, Gambia, Senegal and Mauritania, focused on strengthening bilateral relations and several other topics of concern. common interest.
