A tour to Remember

Looking Ahead on the Tour
Notably, Mustard held a key supporting role throughout both the North American and European legs of the tour. While the Stockholm show marked his final performance alongside Lamar and SZA, the tour isn’t over yet. For the south American dates, he’ll be joined by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso. he’ll conclude the global run in Australia with ScHoolboy Q and doechii.
The Story Behind “hey now“
While the fiery track “Not Like Us“ didn’t make the final cut on GNX, Mustard contributed substantially to the album with two standout productions. He recently revealed the surprising story behind the creation of “hey now,” a track that initially faced rejection from other artists.
Originally,the beat was offered to YG and Quavo,but both passed on the opportunity. Mustard was aiming for a sound reminiscent of Clipse’s iconic “grindin’,” specifically a “West coast version.” Though, the unique, sparse quality of the beat didn’t resonate with everyone initially. “That’s why it’s so empty like that,” he explained. “That’s why it’s just weird sounds.”
He also produced “tv off,” a track where Lamar gives him a direct shout-out,further cementing their collaborative relationship.
