Honda Jazz Receives Aggressive Redesign for chinese Market
jakarta - Honda has launched teh latest iteration of the Jazz, marketed as the Fit in China, featuring meaningful updates aimed at revitalizing consumer interest in the hatchback amidst the growing popularity of electric vehicles in the region.
GAC Honda,HondaS joint venture in China,has introduced a substantial redesign for the Jazz,presenting a more sporty and aggressive aesthetic. The new model moves away from the previous generation’s cute, “eyes” headlight design.
The front of the new Fit boasts a modern, split headlight configuration with four slim daytime running lights and a sleek upper grille. Below, a rectangular section houses a larger lower grille.
The rear maintains the trapezoidal taillights but incorporates an extended bumper, contributing to a 59mm increase in overall length compared to the previous Chinese-market Jazz.
Interior updates are more subtle, focusing on an upgraded 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system – larger than the 8-inch unit found in other markets.This system offers compatibility with Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife+, and Huawei HiCar smartphone mirroring.
Powering the new Jazz/Fit is a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC direct injection engine producing 124 PS and 145 Nm of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The Honda Fit is now available in China starting at 66,800 yuan (approximately rp 162 million), inclusive of a lifetime warranty on the engine and transmission.
