Now the relatively new mother in Sydney is being mourned by family and friends.

Six people are said to have been murdered, and the perpetrator shot dead by police after the knife attack in Bondi in Sydney.

The mall is busy on weekends and hundreds of people were there when a man in his 40s began attacking people seemingly at random.

It plays a video Ash Good posted of his baby daughter Harriet, nine months, on Instagram on Saturday morning, writes The West. There, the baby is seen sitting in the car and munching on a piece of bread with the sun shining on his face.

Just hours later, the family’s life was turned upside down.

Mum died – baby injured in Bondi

Harriet has been forced into emergency surgery at Sydney Children’s Hospital after she and her mother fell victim to a knifeman who went on the attack at the Bondi Junction Westfield shopping center in South Sydney, Australia, on Saturday afternoon.

The baby is one of at least eight injured. She is seriously injured, according to News.

And her mother, Ash Good, is one of the seven people — including the suspected gunman — who were killed.

According to The West, witnesses have said that the perpetrator first attacked the baby and stabbed it in the stomach several times, and then turned to the mother. Ash Good then allegedly ran up to two men and pleaded with them to take her baby in an attempt to save her daughter.

Died in hospital

The men used clothing from a rack in a clothing store to try to stop the bleeding for both of them, but Ash Good’s life could not be saved. She later died in hospital, writes The West.

“A beautiful soul has been taken from us. My prayers go out to your child and family. You will be greatly missed,” wrote one of the Australian’s friends on social media, according to the newspaper.

Ash Good worked as an account manager for the American software company Docusign, and is said to have recently returned to work after her maternity leave. In connection with that, she wrote on Linkedin how much she appreciated having become a mother, according to The West.
