Notre Dame has secured a meaningful commitment from Jacy Abii, the No. 9 ranked player in the 2026 class according to the SC Next 100. The 6-foot-2 forward announced her decision Saturday, choosing the Fighting Irish over a host of other prominent programs. Abii considered several elite schools before making her choice. UCLA, Tennessee, Texas, and LSU all extended offers, but ultimately, Notre Dame’s vision resonated most strongly with the talented Texan.

Abii’s path to this commitment hasn’t been without challenges.She sadly missed her entire junior season due to an ACL injury sustained during an Overtime Select circuit event last summer.
Though, she has shown remarkable determination in her recovery. She returned to the court this summer, displaying flashes of her previous form.Prior to the injury, Abii led Frisco Liberty (Texas) to two state championships before transferring to Legion Prep in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
