NOVEGASY AWARDS 2024 – Menja and Haja crowned best actors

Mamy Francky Razafindranaivo and Hafatra Nomeniavo Razafimandimby are illustrated in the film “Fahavaloko malalako”.

The fourth edition of the Novegasy Awards was celebrated yesterday at Canal Olympia Andohatapenaka, honoring Hafatra Nomeniavo Razafimandimby and Mamy Francky Razafindranaivo as the best actors of the year.

Under the glittering spotlights of the Olympia Andohatapenaka Canal, the fourth edition of the Novegasy Awards came to an end last night, leaving in its wake an aura of celebration and triumph. This year, the winners were honored for their remarkable performances, highlighting the dazzling talent that shines in the world of Malagasy cinema.

Crowned best actress of the year, Hafatra Nomeniavo Razafimandimby, better known as Menja, captivated audiences with her breathtaking performance in the film “Fahavaloko malalako”. “I am still new to the world of cinema, so receiving this prestigious award is a huge honor which encourages me to redouble my efforts in the Malagasy cinematic world,” declared the talented actress with emotion. His co-star, Mamy Francky Razafindranaivo, also known as Haja, was crowned best actor for his gripping performance in the same film. “Fahavaloko is my second film and this trophy represents my first victory in my career. Life is full of surprises,” he shared, visibly moved. “Fahavaloko malalako” tells a complex family story, where love and enemy merge, illustrating the torments of a forbidden love between mother and daughter.

Celebration of talent

In addition to the remarkable performances of the main actors, the film “Wisa 4” achieved resounding success by being voted best film of the year, a production by Avotra Antsiva Avoko Rakotoarijaona, acclaimed by the public through SMS votes. At the same time, the title “Atrika”, directed by Poutax, was honored as the best title of the year, a distinction awarded by a jury composed of five members including Domoina Ratsara and Francis Razafiarison and others.
