Ohio University has officially appointed⁤ John Hauser as its new head football coach, following a triumphant stint as interim leader. This decision comes after a period‌ of transition ⁣for the ⁣Bobcats program,marked by both on-field success and ​off-field challenges.

Hauser recently guided Ohio to a 17-10 victory over UNLV in ⁢the ScooterS Coffee Frisco ‍Bowl. ⁣he stepped‌ into the interim role‍ after the December firing ⁣of former coach Brian Smith.

John Hauser‌ joined the Bobcats in 2022 as the safeties coach. His dedication and expertise quickly became apparent, leading to promotions.

He ascended‍ to defensive passing game ​coordinator in ⁢2023 and then to ‌defensive coordinator prior ⁣to⁣ the 2024 season. this year, he also⁤ held the position of⁢ associate head⁤ coach, demonstrating his growing leadership role ⁢within the program.
