But unexpectedly, the tourist was actually approached by one of the customs officers and taken to a dark and small room.
Even though they had been suspected, the Customs officer did not accept the tourist’s various excuses and instead asked for money for a fine for carelessly taking pictures.
Apart from that, the Customs officer dealing with the Taiwanese tourist threatened to deport him if he did not pay the fine.
The money charged to tourists is no joke, namely IDR 60 million.
Reporting from the X account @Heraloebss, the tourist from Taiwan was able to negotiate the amount of the fine on the grounds that he did not have the money.
After making deals, the Customs officers finally reduced the fine to 400 USI or around Rp. 6 million.
The news about tourists from Taiwan being chased by Customs officers immediately went viral and was even highlighted by foreign media.
