Small-scale LNG sales in Świnoujście has increased every year since the terminal began operating, except for 2022, when there was an energy crisis in Europe caused by Russia’s actions.

We are constantly working on increasing the attractiveness of the commercial offer and optimizing logistics to meet the growing demand for small-scale LNG from both industrial and municipal customers,” said President Daniel Obajtek, quoted in the release.

Most of the LNG imported by Orlen to Poland is regasified and introduced into the nationwide transmission and distribution network. However, the volume of raw material that reaches customers in liquefied form is also growing dynamically. They include industrial customers from various industries, but also individual customers connected to island gas systems. These systems are not connected to the national network, so gas is delivered there in the form of LNG and then regasified at local regasification stations.
