The Management Board of Orlen will propose to the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders that: from net profit for 2023 in the amount of PLN 21 billion 215 million 917 thousand PLN 147.93 to allocate PLN 4 billion 817 million 909 thousand PLN 503.35 for dividend payment. This means that the dividend would then amount to PLN 4.15 per share.

According to Orlen, the remaining amount from the net profit for 2023 in the amount of PLN 16 398 million 7 thousand. PLN 644.58, in accordance with the management board’s recommendation, would be allocated to the company’s supplementary capital.

Additionally, it was proposed to set September 20, 2024 as the dividend date and December 20, 2024 as the dividend payment date.

“The company’s management board proposal will be presented to the Orlen Orlen General Meeting, which will make the final decision on this matter,” the company said.

Obajtek responds

“Orlen’s Management Board recommends the payment of PLN 4.818 billion in dividends for 2023, i.e. PLN 4.15 per share. This is almost PLN 1.6 billion less compared to the dividend for 2022 (PLN 5.5 per share), paid last year “Bravo. Smile,” wrote Daniel Obajtek on the website X.

“The payment to shareholders of a total of PLN 6.39 billion is the highest nominal dividend in… history of Orlen. In addition This is the highest nominal dividend in the history of Polish companies listed on the WSE” wrote banker.pl. The previous record belonged to KGHM – PLN 5.67 billion in 2011, and PZU with PLN 4.66 billion in 2013 took second place in this ranking.
