Oscar de la Hoya, known as “The Golden Boy,” is a prominent figure in the world of boxing. Born on February 4, 1973 in Los Angeles, California, to Mexican parents, de la Hoya became one of the most popular and successful boxers of his time. From a very young age he showed exceptional talent for boxing, winning a gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, which marked the beginning of a successful professional career.

He debuted as a professional that same year and throughout his career he fought in six different weight classes, from super featherweight to middleweight. De La Hoya won world titles in ten different weight classes, an achievement that few boxers have achieved.
