Die Florida Panthers are just one win away from reaching the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Panthers beat Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday with 5:3 and are thus in the Playoffseries to 3-0.
There was only one goal to marvel at in the first third: Tkachuk (11th) made it 1-0 for Florida. Tampa then turned the game around with goals from Stamkos (21′) and Motte (23′), before Reinhart (30′), Montour (37′) and Lorentz (50′) made it 4-2 for the Panthers again.
Paul (55′) temporarily reduced the score to 3:4, but Tkachuk (60’/EN) put the lid on the game in the final seconds.
Game four is Saturday in Tampa.
Carolina also wins game three against Islanders
Also the Carolina Hurricanes make it 3-0 in their series. Against the New York Islanders got a 3-2 win on Thursday.
Burns (5th) and Orlov (11th) make it 2-0 for Carolina early on. Engvall (23′) shortened the score briefly, but Aho (28′) scored again a short time later to make it 3-1 for the Hurricanes. Nelson (38th) scored in the second third to make it 2:3, but the last third ended goalless.
