Ultimately, it turned out that benefits for seniors from March 1, 2024 increased by 12.12 percent. In February, we learned all the data needed to calculate the indexation index.

This is slightly less than announced at the beginning of February. The head of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy, Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, said then that pensions would increase by at least 12.3 percent.

The indexation of pensions and annuities in 2024 is a response to rising inflation, with the aim of maintaining the real purchasing power of pension benefits. The assumed indexation rate was 12.12%, which may be last year with such high indexationdue to the projected decline in inflation in the coming years.
