President Petr Pavel remains the most trusted top politician in the Czech Republic, 54 percent of people trust him. They are followed by ANO chairman Andrej Babiš with 46 percent and SPD chairman Tomio Okamura with 40 percent. Pavel is the only politician who has a higher share of trust than distrust. The most people do not trust Petar Fial and Markéta Pekarová Adamová. This emerged from a survey by the Center for Public Opinion Research (CVVM), which was conducted from January to March.

Confidence in President Pavel, Minister of Health Vlastimil Válk (TOP 09) and Minister of the Environment Petr Hladík (KDU-ČSL) decreased slightly. For Pavle, it decreased by one percentage point, as well as for Hladík, who is trusted by nine percent of people, and thus ended up at the bottom of the ranking of top politicians. Citizens’ trust in Válk fell by four points to 15 percent.
Conversely, the share of those trusting Babiš and Okamura rose by four and five points, respectively.
A similar increase in trust was also seen in the head of the Chamber of Deputies and TOP 09 Pekarová Adamová, who at the same time saw a decrease of four points in the number of people who do not trust her. On the other hand, 73 percent do not trust her.

A slight increase in the share of those who trust, accompanied by a comparable decrease in those who do not trust the CVVM, was also noted by the Minister for Regional Development and the chairman of the Pirates, Ivan Bartoš. With a trust of 28 percent, he ranked fourth in the trust of top politicians.

The five most trustworthy people are rounded off by Senate President Miloš Vystrčil (ODS), who, according to CVVM findings, is trusted by a quarter of those surveyed. Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský (Pirates) received slightly lower confidence, 24 percent.
Less than a fifth of the people then unanimously consider Transport Minister Martin Kupka (ODS), Interior Minister Vít Rakušan (STAN) and Prime Minister Fiala to be trustworthy.
In addition to Hladík, the Minister for Legislation Michal Šalomoun (for the Pirates), the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Helena Langšádlová (TOP 09), the Minister of Education Mikuláš Bek (STAN) and the Minister for European Affairs Martin Dvořák (STAN) finished on the bottom rungs of the ranking. Less than a tenth of the public trusts them. More than half of people said they were unaware of these policies.
A thousand people over the age of 15 took part in the survey between January 26 and March 11.
