DAY OF THE LION – Il 2024 from the Peugeot it opened with theE-Lion Day: an event in which the French company revealed the innovations that we will see this year, and announced the ambitious goal of conquering the first place in the ranking of electric car registrations in Europe.
ELECTRIC IN EUROPE – The French house already has today seven electric models: the multispace e-Rifter and e-Traveller join the small e-208, the e-308 in the sedan and wagon versions and the e-2008 and e-3008 crossovers. Without forgetting the three commercial vehicles E-Partner, E-Expert and E-Boxer. By 2024 we will also see it in dealerships e-408a “pile” variant of the Peugeot 408 and the e-5008the “big sister” of the e-3008.
NO TO BATTERY-POWERED “CITY CARS”. – Linda Jackson, the “number one” of the house, then declared that they will not be there electric models cheaper than the e-208 (in the photo below). “The solution is not to make smaller battery-powered cars, but to create financial solutions that make the product more accessible”. In this it was linked to the French example, where the battery-powered small car is part of the leasing plan of the transalpine government (starting from 99 euros per month) and there is no shortage of personalized proposals with installments that they adapt to the mileage path. This last formula could also come to us.
LONG COVERAGE – For the new one Peugeot e-3008 (in the photo above) the program was launched Allure Care: a warranty up to eight years or 160,000 km (it activates automatically for 2 years or 25,000 km after each maintenance intervention carried out at the official network). Among the other innovations arriving in 2024, there is the introduction of ChatGPT across the entire range: the best-known model of artificial intelligence it will be integrated into the dashboard and can be activated through the OK Peugeot voice assistant.
SUSTAINABILITY – Another “hot” topic is environmental respect. In this regard, it was reiterated that the brand new e-3008, for example, is made up of 23% recycled materials. And the Stellantis group signed two agreements last year from Stellantis to guarantee the recycling of end-of-life vehicles in Europe: one with the French Orano, for the recovery of the materials from battery lithium ion and the other with the Belgian Galloo (European leader in recycling). This latest joint venture – called Sustainera Valorauto – offers a complete solution including vehicle dismantling, recovery, reconditioning and marketing of vital parts, as well as material recycling.
