The procedure for electing the President of the Management Board of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA was initiated by the Supervisory Board on February 15 this year. As a result of the qualification procedure, the Supervisory Board decided to appoint Mr. Piotr Wyborski as the President of the Management Board.

The election of Mr. Piotr Wyborski as President of the Management Board, in the opinion of the Supervisory Board, is a guarantee of effective operation of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, proper maintenance of the railway network, efficient conduct of the investment process and constant improvement of railway safety – said Jakub Majewski, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Piotr Wyborski is an experienced manager with extensive competences in implementing restructuring programs, process optimization and managing multi-area organizations. He managed a variety of business functions such as infrastructure maintenance, operations, finance, IT, purchasing, logistics and production. He gained managerial experience both in foreign companies, a State Treasury company, and in a company with a private owner. He has been professionally associated with the railway industry for many years.

A graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics. He holds a diploma from the international organization ACCA, which brings together professionals dealing with finance, accounting and management.

He started his professional career in 2001 at the audit company Ernst & Young. In the years 2013 – 2016, he was associated with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA as a Management Board Representative and Member of the Management Board – director of infrastructure maintenance. In the years 2017 – 2021 he worked in managerial positions at Thales, and recently on the management board of Kross SA
