Niantic will host a global Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Raid Make-Up Event on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. The event addresses technical issues encountered during the original global festival, allowing impacted trainers to re-attempt raids featuring Mega Mewtwo Y and other legendary bosses.
Global Make-Up Event Details and Raid Schedule
Following technical difficulties that disrupted raid participation for many players during the initial Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global, the developer has scheduled a global make-up session. While the event was initially considered for specific time zones, it has been expanded to a full global release. The event will run on Sunday, July 26, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time.

Additionally, the remote raid pass limit has been lifted from Saturday, July 25, at 1:00 p.m. PDT through Sunday, July 26, at 12:00 p.m. PDT. Premier Balls will also see increased effectiveness for catching raid bosses.

Players who previously purchased the Road of Legends Deluxe Pass
are eligible for additional rewards, including 5,000 XP per completed raid, plus three additional Candy and one additional Candy XL for five-star and higher raids. Pokémon caught during the event—specifically from five-star and Mega raids—may feature a Special Background. Mewtwo caught during Super Mega Raids will also feature this visual effect, which gains an additional animation when the Pokémon is Mega Evolved.
July 2026 Event Context
According to reporting, the earlier global festival served as a centerpiece for the game’s 10th-anniversary celebrations. Following that, players have engaged in a series of mid-July events, including the debut of Mega Raichu X and Y, and a birthday celebration for Professor Willow.
As the month nears its close, trainers are also preparing for the “Ozone Ascentevent featuring Rayquaza, scheduled for July 25–26. This event requires players to teach Rayquaza the move
Dragon Ascent” to enable Mega Evolution. While a free version of the Timed Research provides a Meteorite, a paid $4.99 version offers a second Meteorite and additional premium rewards.
