Poopy and Bodo light up the Sports Palace

Poopy and Bodo shared the stage at the Palais des Sports again on Sunday. A friendship that became an artistic complicity over time

Six years later, Poopy and Bodo lit up the stage of the Mahamasina Sports Palace during the long-awaited fifth edition of “Mifampitantana” this Sunday, March 31. This event marked not only the fortieth career anniversary of Poopy and the thirty-fifth of Bodo, but also a vibrant celebration of their artistic complicity. In front of 5,000 dazzled spectators, the two divas offered more than fifty titles in duet and solo, starting with “Rehefa eo ianao”, through “Raha nofy” and many others. Their stage presence, enhanced by Sih Rakout outfits and magnificent sets, transcended the audience, symbolizing their unwavering union.

“Mifampitantana embodies the very essence of friendship and complicity between Poopy and Bodo. Despite a six-year absence due to logistical constraints, we managed to rekindle the enthusiasm of our spectators, including new generations. We are overwhelmed by the attendance and the dazzling performance of Poopy and Bodo,” declares Tantely Ralalarison, organizer who is the Live Prod.

Artistic fusion

Surprise guest Mahery added a special touch to the concert by performing with Poopy and Bodo a song that Bodo had previously sung with Bessa and Lola. To revive the trio, Mahery adopted the voice of Bessa, Bodo played his own role leaving Poopy the role of Lola. This artistic fusion enchanted the audience until the show closed at 7:30 p.m.

For those who missed this special edition of Mifampitantana, Njila and Poopy will perform at Ccesca Antanimena on May 1, while Poopy and Rija Ramanantoanina will join Bodo on May 5, offering a new chance to experience the magic of this artistic friendship.
