PPP officially filed a lawsuit over the 2024 DPR RI General Election Results Dispute (PHPU) to the Constitutional Court (MK). PPP admitted that he lost as many as 200 thousand votes in the legislative elections on February 14.

Viewed on the MK website, Sunday (24/3/2024), the lawsuit was accepted with application deed Number 108-01-17-37/AP3-DPR-DPRD/Pan.MK/03/2024. The application deed was dated March 23 2024.

Chairman of the PPP DPP Achmad Baidowi said there was a difference in votes in the election results in 18 provinces. He felt that PPP lost 200 thousand votes which resulted in PPP failing to qualify for Senayan.

It is known that PPP only received 5,878,777 votes or 3.87 percent. Meanwhile, to qualify for Senayan, PPP must at least reach the parliamentary threshold of 4%.

“There are a number of electoral districts (where their votes are lost), if I’m not mistaken there are around 30 electoral districts,” said Awiek at the Constitutional Court building, Central Jakarta, Saturday (23/3/2024) evening.

“There are not many (lost votes) in the electoral district, at most 3 thousand, 4 thousand, but it happens throughout the electoral district. So when totaled it is more than 200 thousand,” he continued.

Awiek said that the PPP’s votes were lost, one of which was in the Papua Mountains area. He said one of the PPP legislative candidates lost more than 5 thousand votes.

“In the Papua Mountains, there was a legislative candidate himself who came, he brought his C1 amounting to more than 5 thousand, but the check on the results of the national recapitulation said it was 200 or so. Where did those thousands go?” he said.

Awiek said that a number of pieces of evidence had been prepared. Apart from that, he said, his party is also preparing dozens of legal teams.

“We were strengthened by a team of 23 lawyers to file a lawsuit, especially regarding PPP votes which were allegedly lost in a number of elections,” he explained.

Chairman of LABH PPP Erfandi said that in the main petition, PPP asked the Constitutional Court to determine that PPP would obtain a seat in the DPR. Apart from that, he also requested that re-voting (PSU) be held at a number of polling stations which he felt would eliminate PPP votes.

“The evidence we have obtained, the internal survey which states 4.02 is in line with the evidence we currently have. So, it is not much different from the internal survey and it is supported by evidence,” he said.
