Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The choice of electric cars in Indonesia is increasing after Wuling launched Cloud EV. This car was released at the special electric vehicle exhibition, Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2024 at JI Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta with an estimated price of IDR 410 million.

Previously, Wuling already owned Air ev and Binguo. However, the Cloud EV is placed above the two cars, which can be seen from the higher price of the two. Wuling included the three electric cars that have been released in Indonesia with ABC Stories.

In terms of sales, BinguoEV is currently the best-selling electric vehicle with sales of more than 3,000 units during the first quarter. Meanwhile, the first Wuling electric vehicle in Indonesia, the Air ev, has sold 700 units in total in the same period. Meanwhile, in total Wuling Air EV customers in Indonesia have almost reached 20,000 customers and BinguoEV, which was officially launched in Indonesia at the end of last year, is now owned by more than 4,500 consumers.

Wuling produces electric vehicles locally at the Wuling factory facility in Cikarang, West Java with a TKDN of more than 40% so that they qualify for VAT incentives. The Cloud EV battery is only available in a variant with a 50.6 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with a range of 460 km. On paper, this car can cover the distance from Jakarta to Semarang.

This car is 4,295 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,652 mm high. Meanwhile, the wheelbase is 2,700 mm. In terms of capacity, Cloud EV has 18 storage compartments. Not only that, luggage storage is also supported by a deep sunk trunk with a volume of up to 606 liters. If you need more luggage space, users can fold the rear seats flat to get a maximum volume of 1,707 liters.

Wuling Motors Sales and Marketing Director Dian Asmahani said he would send Cloud EV this May to customers after receiving orders starting from the PEVS 2024 event.

“We are opening a special pre-book period with various attractive promotions. We are offering various conveniences in the form of incentives of IDR 5 million, special leasing packages that apply to the first 1,000 people,” said Dian.
