The funeral of Julien Grégoire, the languages ​​teacher at Saint-Stanislas college murdered at his home last weekend, will be celebrated this morning. The same day, Thomas B, the teenager suspected of the crime, will be heard by the Council Chamber.

The incomprehension remains strong in the Hennuyère city almost a week after the murder of the forty-year-old, killed in the night from Saturday to Sunday with numerous stab wounds. The victim’s relatives will be able to pay their respects one last time this Friday at 11 a.m. during the funeral which will take place at Hyon church. A solemn atmosphere which will give way to the work of justice later in the day. Indeed, the alleged perpetrator, Thomas B., aged 18, placed under arrest warrant by the investigating judge, will be heard today by the Council Chamber. This weekend, it will therefore be a question of whether or not the arrest warrant will be confirmed.

Thomas B., a former student of Julien Grégoire, was arrested by the Mons-Quévy police very shortly after the events. Charged with intentional homicide, the teenager pleads self-defense, declaring that he was the victim of a sexual assault by the teacher during his return from the evening. The King’s Prosecutor, Vincent Macq, believes that it is still too premature to say this. The investigation is only just beginning and will have to clarify many unclear areas regarding Julien Grégoire’s behavior.
