Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia-Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed a situation that would force his country to use nuclear weapons in the Ukraine war. These comments were made after Moscow scored a new victory in its territorial struggle in its neighboring country.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia would only use its nuclear arsenal if its country was threatened. He described the use of such weapons as weapons of separation.

“If there is something that threatens the existence of our country, then nuclear weapons (will be used),” he said, quoted by Russia Today, Sunday (10/3/2024).

Meanwhile, Financial Timesciting leaked presentations by Russian Navy officers between 2008 and 2014, alleged that Moscow’s threshold for using short-range tactical nuclear weapons may be lower than Western defense experts estimate.
