Corona, Queens – A 36-year-old man was shot and killed Friday night just blocks from his apartment in Queens, Novel York City. Jairo Javier Vinces-Cobena was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital, according to police reports. The incident occurred shortly before 7:50 p.m. On March 13, 2026, near the intersection of 55th Avenue and 97th Place in the Corona neighborhood.
