RAPE OF MI NEUR – A teenager abuses a little girl

An investigation into the rape of a minor was opened by the Vondrozo National Gendarmerie brigade last week.

The crime involves a 17-year-old teenager who allegedly abused a 7-year-old girl in the village of Vohimary-Masitafika on February 20, around 10 a.m. The head of their fokontany drew up a report of the facts, which he submitted to the gendarmerie on Wednesday February 28.

According to her information, the child was alone at home. His mother worked in the fields. The boy, their neighbor, forced his way into their home to sexually assault her. He grabbed her by both her wrists while he committed his evil act. He fled after committing his crime.

The victim, in tears, told his mother everything he did to her. The parents of the rapist proposed an arrangement to those of the poor innocent girl. They would have been unaware that resolving rape amicably constitutes a punishable offense. Furthermore, the boy’s family did not pay the agreed amount in compensation at all.

This led the head of the fokontany to contact the gendarmerie. A doctor from the Vondrozo District Reference Hospital examined the girl and issued a medical certificate attesting that the rape had taken place. The alleged culprit was arrested and taken into police custody.
