Raptors Rookie Earns Rising Stars Nod
Toronto Raptors rookie forward Jalen Murray-Boyles has been selected to participate in the 2026 NBA Rising Stars game,the league announced on Monday. The game will take place in Los Angeles on February 13th. Murray-Boyles, the ninth overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft, has become a key contributor for the 29-19 Raptors.
Murray-Boyles’ Performance This Season
Through 37 games,Murray-Boyles is averaging 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 0.9 steals while shooting 53.6% from the field, 34.9% from three-point range, and 64.2% from the free-throw line. He ranks second among all rookies in offensive rebounds (2.5 per game), fifth in screen assists, and is in the top 10 in total rebounds, steals, and blocks per game.
When starting,a role he’s filled in 13 games,his averages increase to 9.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.2 steals. His standout performance came on January 11th against the Philadelphia 76ers, where he recorded 17 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and three blocks in an overtime victory. Rising Stars Roster and Format
Murray-Boyles will join a rookie pool that includes Cooper Flagg (Dallas Mavericks), Dylan Harper (San Antonio Spurs), VJ Edgecombe (Philadelphia 76ers), and Kon Knueppel (Charlotte Hornets).He is the 10th Raptors rookie to be selected for the Rising stars game, and the first since Scottie Barnes in 2022.
