There are still months to go until the start of the European Championship, but we are heading towards the competition that will take place next summer. Therefore, the zerozero launched a challenge to its readers: that 23 Portuguese athletes would take with them to the race?

For a few days we left the voting open and, to end this Easter Sunday, we reveal all the choices made by our portal readers: goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards. There was no shortage of options.

Between aces thousands of entrieswe saw some players with more than 90 percent choice: Diogo Costa (99 percent), Rúben Dias (97 percent), João Cancelo (97 percent) and Nuno Mendes (95 percent).

In the remaining positions, highlights include Bernardo Silva (99 percent), Bruno Fernandes (98 percent), João Palhinha (95 percent) and Rafael Leão (97 percent), the other athletes close to unanimity.

The main absences, in turn, fall on names like Rúben Neves (49 percent), Otávio (57 percent), Pedro Gonçalves (18 percent), Francisco Conceição (17 percent) or Nélson Semedo (30 percent) .
