Pereira, April 26, 2024. The Government of Risaralda has held the public hearing of the Multiannual Investment Plan corresponding to the 2024-2027 Development Plan in the city of Pereira. This event marks the culmination of a series of socialization sessions throughout the department, in order for citizens to be informed about the investments that will be made during the next four years.

The acting governor, Oscar Alexis Sanabria Chica, announced that the department has an approximate budget of 3.4 billion pesos, distributed across four strategic dimensions. Although the Plan is open to modifications until its final presentation on April 30, a consensus has been achieved with the community on investment priorities and needs.

Investment Breakdown

Sociocultural Dimension: Around 2.7 billion pesos will be allocated.
Economic and Rural Dimension: 134 billion pesos will be allocated.
Territory and Environmental Management: It will have 388 billion pesos.
Management and Institutional Strengthening: It will have 164 billion pesos.

These figures, projected for the four-year period, could vary depending on income from own resources and the management of national funds. The Secretary of Departmental Finance, Dora Patricia Ospina, highlighted that it is expected to reach a goal of 450 billion pesos in own resources during the four years, which would guarantee an annual growth of 30% in this type of income without incurring a deficit.
