Sabrina Gravelresearcher at the IRSST, will be the new secretary of the scientific committee of industrial toxicology (SCOT) fromInternational Commission on Occupational Health (International Commission on Occupational Health – ICOH-CIST) for the 2024-2026 triennium.
She was appointed by Dr. Giovanna Tranfo, the head of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Epidemiology and Hygiene, INAIL – Italy, the new president of SCOT.
“This is a superb opportunity to forge links on the international scene in industrial toxicology, and to promote the IRSST and our work,” explains Sabrina Gravel.
The SCOT
This scientific committee, SCOT, was founded in 1990 in Montreal, Canada. Its mission is to promote research in all areas of industrial toxicology. One of the current goals of SCOT is the use of biological monitoring (BM) in exposure assessment and interventions in workplaces and the general environment, based on scientific and ethical principles solid.
