(Teleborsa) – Saipema services and solutions company for the energy and infrastructure sector, closed the first quarter of 2024 with revenues equal to 3,047 million euros (2,582 million euros in the corresponding period of 2023), a EBITDA adjusted equal to 268 million euros (191 million euros in the corresponding period of 2023) and a margine EBITDA adjusted of 8.8% of revenues (vs. 7.4% in the same period last year). The improvement is mainly recorded in the Offshore sectors, we read in a note.

Il adjusted net result from continuing operations records a positive result of 57 million euros (breakeven in the corresponding period of 2023). To the positive change recorded in the adjusted operating result, equal to 32 million euros, is added the effect of the improvement in the balance of financial and fiscal management for a total of 25 million euros.

The net financial position pre-IFRS 16 at 31 March 2024 is positive for 284 million euros. The net financial position including the IFRS 16 lease liability, equal to 493 million euros, is negative by 209 million euros. The gross debt at 31 March 2024 before the effects of IFRS 16 lease liability amounted to 2,114 million euros, liquidity amounted to 2,398 million euros, of which available cash amounted to 1,049 million euros.

During the first quarter of 2024, Saipem acquired new orders for a total of 2,001 million euros (2,695 million euros in the corresponding period of 2023). The order book as at 31 March 2024 it amounts to 28,756 million euros (16,140 million euros in Asset Based Services, 10,782 million euros in Energy Carriers and 1,834 million euros in Offshore Drilling), of which 9,104 million euros to be achieved in 2024.
