Poor, TOURISMPaleontologist in central India 92 nests have been discovered dinosaur preserved and 256 eggs in a large fossil hatchery. During Late Cretaceous periodthis breeding ground belongs to titanosaurus long-tailed and long-necked.

Combined with other sites previously discovered nearby, this collection of fossil nests provides one of the hatching sites dinosaur largest in the known world.

“Such nesting colonies would have been a sight to see in the Cretaceous,” said Darla Zelenitsky, paleobiologist dinosaur at the University of Calgary in Canada who were not involved in this research. “The landscape would have been dotted with a large number of large dinosaur nests.”

Researchers studied these nests from 2017 to 2020 and published their findings in the journal PLOS ONE, revealing insights into reproductive habits dinosaur.

About 40 species titanosauruskind of sauropoda herbivores, are known to have lived and some of them likely used this hatchery. The researchers found evidence of six species—or kinds dinosaur—on the site.

With so many nests close together, it can be difficult for these large reptiles to access these locations to incubate eggs or feed the hatchlings. Most likely unable to tread carefully through the hatching site without crushing the eggs under their feet, titanosaurus maybe it’s the parents who let go.
